Baler and Compactor Consumables

We supply products to fit all known makes of balers and compactors, being Baling Tape, Pre-Cut & Looped Baling Wire, Baling Twine, Compactor Sacks, RDF Plastic Wire and RDF/SRF Ecostrap.

Baling Tape / Strapping

Polyester strapping (baling tape) is a strong flat, densely wound, weft-less strap, suitable for use with a wide range of balers. The baling tape is UV stable and waterproof.

The thickness required depends on the bale size you are producing and the press force of your machine. If you unsure and would like some help finding the right size call us and we can help. We be able to identity which product will fit your machine.

Baling Twine

All our baling twine is Waterproof, UV Stable and rot resistant. Tough, durable and manufactured from sustainable sources.

Various breaking strains are available, to handle differing bale weights. During the manufacturing process the product is pre-stretched to avoid breakages and to compensate for the recovery rates of different materials being baled, ie. plastic film has a higher recovery / kinetic energy than cardboard.

We also manufacture this in two forms, being centre feed and rewound spools (on reels).

Baling twine, is a suitable alternative for polyester strapping as it is more flexible and easier to handle.

Baling Wire

Bag and Bale manufacture baling wire to a broad range of specifications. Our baling wire is used predominantly in the recycling industry to bale large volumes of over 450kg bale weights.

We supply from stock, our four main products being:-

  • “Pre-Cut and Looped” for hand tying and use with semi-automatic balers (various lengths are available depending on sizes of bale).
  • Rewound coils in 25kg or 40kg format for use with automatic balers, depending on machine type and manufacturer.
  • Formers in 500kg and 1000kg format for larger processors with fully automatic balers for bulk waste materials.
  • “Quick-link” for use with semi-automatic closed-end balers (various lengths are available depending on machine type and size).

Baling wire is typically a stronger tying medium and is less susceptible to damage whilst bales are in transit and is therefore the preferred tying media for export.

Certain semi-automatic balers could also use baling tape as an alternative to baling wire which (if suitable) would reduce operating costs considerably.
